B Timbermen name leaders

Leadership shouldn’t be a problem for this year’s Nanaimo DBL Timbermen senior B lacrosse team. The club named its captain and alternates last week, a diverse group.
Returning as captain will be veteran Travis Preston.
“[He] shows maturity and commitment to every aspect of this game,” said coach Pat O’Dwyer in a press release. “He is the true leader in the dressing room and should lead this team to great things.”
Brad Jones returns as an alternate captain while Joel Cocarell and Jason Dubyna will wear letters for the first time.
The West Coast Senior Lacrosse Association season starts May 1.
